The breakfast could have more variety since there are lots of foreigners (Europeans in particular) who don't necessarily want Thai style breakfast. Otherwise, rooms are nice, clean, and functional. Beds, pillows and sheets are very comfy and clean. Small fridge in the rooms. Front desk speaks some English and they have always been helpful. We didn't use the pool but it looks nice but small though.

Can’t figure out how this hotel might get more than even two stars, and i find them somewhat positively biased. Maybe it is, because they offer you free drinks for positive reviews? Our “traditional” room was only superficially clean when we arrived, which hasn’t changed since. It very much looks like the staff just doesn’t care. The bed lines were stained and dirty, and at first there was no intention on changing them. Our bathroom door is in such a bad shape, that it almost breaks off the sliding hinges when opening and closing. The floor is really slippery and as you have to step over the mattress on the floor to get into the bathroom, that is some adventure. But the worst is just that even areas in plain sight are not properly cleaned, housekeeping forgets towels sometimes and there is very plainly no interest in doing it properly. Also, if you’re easily disturbed by noises: you will hear everything even two rooms down. The pool is green by algue. The gym is quite dirty, my former white exercise shoes are black just by what rubbed off. Equipment works but is also quite run down. Also, no way to clean equipment after use. There is one thing that runs for the hotel, and that is the location. So best find one of the nice ones for the same price around.

Oriental Lanna is located in the ancient city of Chiang Mai. The surrounding area is convenient and not noisy. It is very suitable for cycling around! Next time I come to Chiang Mai, I will visit again. During the Loy Krathong Festival, there is also a free water lantern making experience~ It’s great!

I stayed in a "traditional" room, where there was no bed, and the mattress was on the floor. I have to say that a multilevel super slippery floor is an outright dangerous idea. Another issue was with small insects that looked like ants; they had a highway passing through the corner of my room. The location is great, the decor is impressive, and the best part is the price!

Our room was really terrible. It had couple of stairs to go to bed and also to go from the bed to the toilet. The floor was very slippery as well, so the combination between the stairs and the slippery flood made it really bad. Breakfast was also below average. No eggs, no cheese…. Also the swimming pool didn’t look clean. Apart from that, the hotel design is cozy and it has a nice location in the middle of the old town
